This was my first ever solo project, and one that is very dear to me. I directed and shot this documentary mini-series exploring the lives and careers of Black creatives navigating today’s media and art industries. My goal was to spotlight both the challenges and triumphs- digging into the quiet struggles, the loud victories, and everything in between. The series asks an important question: Does being Black shape your path in creative spaces? Does it open doors, or does it place barriers around you before you’ve even had the chance to try? This project was about giving space to those stories, and letting them speak for themselves.
